Vision for Expanded Access
September 22, 2008
Dear Friends,

I am pleased to update you on news concerning the future of our current Washington Adventist Hospital campus and the important progress we’re making on our Vision for Expanded Access.
Today we announced plans to create a Village of Health and Well-being, which will include emergency/urgent care services, a clinic and primary care on our Takoma Park campus, once we relocate the hospital to the White Oak/Calverton area of Montgomery County.
This new vision for the Takoma Park campus is being developed from ideas we received during more than 200 interviews conducted with staff, physicians and community members over the past 15 months. We have taken that input and combined it with in-depth architectural analysis to propose projects and services that meet community needs and blend effectively into the community campus.
I do want to emphasize that our focus remains on current operations at our hospital. We are making investments and improvements at our hospital now because the high quality, compassionate care we provide to the community every step of the way is key to our success today and in the future.
I look forward to keeping you updated on all the exciting plans for Washington Adventist Hospital.
Sincerely,

Jere Stocks
President
